Shockwave FESTIVAL

Central Western Queensland: Longreach, Winton, Blackall, Tambo
Shockwave is a youth arts program for, with and by young people aged 10 to 17 years old. It's an amazing program of workshops delivered over the course of the year that culminate in a multi-arts festival showcasing the creativity of young people in Central Western Queensland.
I fell in love with this program during my first festival in 2015. As the visual arts coordinator for 2016, I am working with our youth ambassador team, youth workers, community members and the local council to develop a fully immersive visual experience at the festival that includes workshops, a gallery and festival art installations.
