Immerse yourself in the awe and wonder of early years STEAM in a specially developed 3 day program of engaging and creative hands-on professional development for early years educators.

$1400 per person including food and ground transport (GST not applicable)
Minimum 2 people per centre - ensures you have support when you get back to your service

LOGISTICS
Food – Lunch and snacks are included each day. Dietary requirements catered for. Participants to arrange own breakfast and dinner.
Accommodation – Recommend Meriton Suites on Herschel St. 1 and 2 bedroom apartments with kitchen, central location. Roma St train station and airtrain 2mins away. Free cancellation – book now and confirm later.
Ground transport – Pick up/ drop off from Meriton Suites, Herschel St each day. Local participants are recommended to meet at the hotel to join the bus (next to Roma St station) but have the option to arrange their own travel if preferred.
Cancellation – If a participant is unable to attend the program, they should arrange for an alternate staff member from their center to participate where possible. Due to limited numbers and need to lock in program, bookings can only be cancelled with 2 weeks notice.
Program – Times and workshops may require last minute changes. In this instance a suitable alternative program will be provided.
Payment – An invoice will be provided upon booking. Payment required 2 weeks before program.

Day 1 – Monday
8.30am Pick up from hotel/ Roma St, transfer to learning space Kedron
9am Welcome session with Amelia Kalifa
10am -12pm Cooking with native flavors with My Dilly Bag
12-1pm Lunch with My Dilly Bag.
1pm-3pm Science in a box with Children’s Discovery museum
Transfer to hotel/ Roma St
Day 2 – Tuesday
8.30am Pick up from hotel/ Roma St, transfer to Reverse Garbage Woolloongabba
9am-11am Reverse Garbage – Sustainability, insects and material science
12pm – 1pm Lunch at Southbank restaurant
1.30pm – 2.30pm QLD Museum at Southbank
3pm-4pm Centre Visit - STEAM in action
4.30pm-6.30pm Cardboard Engineering with Bearly Engineering
Transfer to hotel/ Roma St
Day 3 – Wednesday
8.30am Check out of hotel, transfer to learning space Kedron
9am-12pm Documenting Discoveries with iPad with Rachel Minns, TechPlayTeach
12pm-1pm Catered Lunch. Discussion re ongoing Collaborative Learning Sessions
1pm-2pm Centre Presentation - STEAM in action

Ongoing Collaborative Learning Community
Keep your momentum by joining our Collaborative Learning Community. This is delivered through 1 hour online reflection sessions offered every three months for services to tap back in and share an update on their ongoing STEAM journey. These discussions will be supported by a Kindy Uplift Advisor.
